Livio Felluga TERRE ALTE was given third place in the classification of Italy's top white wines of the last 20 years.
The classification, given by GAMBERO ROSSO and published in the April edition of the magazine, is the result of the patient work of tasting conducted over the last 20 years for the Wine Guide "Vini d'Italia". The prize was given on the basis of quality and consistency.
"... TERRE ALTE exists since 1980 and we've been evaluating it since 1986. Over the years it has won a boatload of prizes and some vintages have been mythical - '90, '92, '96, '99, poi '01, '02 e '04...
It's a blend of Sauvignon, Tocai and Pinot Bianco; almost a conversation between the varietals that take turns influencing the wine on the basis of the vintage... The vineyards are in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, in the calcareous and "ponca" soils of Oleis and Rosazzo, which have been blessed by the God's of wine..."
