Created by Livio Felluga’s children, who dedicated the wine to him, Illivio reflects the personality of the estate’s founder, uniting strength with elegance

Harvest method: Manual in small cases
Vinification: The bunches were carefully destemmed and left to macerate for a short period. Next, the fruit was soft crushed. The must obtained was then allowed to settle. The now-clarified must fermented at controlled temperatures in small casks of French oak, where it matured for about ten months.
Ageing: After fermentation, the wine was left on the lees in the small oak casks for about ten months. Bottling took place in July 2001. The bottled wine was aged in temperature-controlled binning cellars for a minimum of 16 months.
Sensory characteristics:
Appearance: straw yellow with very faint greenish highlights;

Nose: broad, elegant, sweet and flowery, with hints of white and yellow-fleshed fruit, mingling with subtle notes of vanilla and toasty oak;

Palate: well-rounded and caressing, with good balance of acidity, soft, with impressive structure and weight; rich and mouth-filling. Finish reveals a lingering fruit and spice after-aroma.

Serving suggestions: A particularly good match for fish, risottos and fresh cheeses.
Serving temperature: 14 - 15 °C
