The November 2006 issue of the Italian monthly magazine "Gambero Rosso" features a "... glimpse of Italian wine through the stories of the most prestigious and award-winning wineries" in Italy.
Livio Felluga's Terre Alte is among the top.
".. During these years of boat-loads awards, several versions have been mythical, '90, '92, '96, '99, then '01, '02 and the last one, '04.
It's the fruit of blending Sauvignon, Tocai Friulano and Pinot Bianco, almost a dialectical nexus among the varietals that alternate depending on the various climatic conditions. In the colder and rainer vintages, it's the Sauvignon that expresses itself. In the warmer ones the Tocai Friulano prevails. The Pinot Bianco, the gentlest, is most evident when everything goes right.
It's the magic of Terre Alte that feels the "territorio" and climatic conditions in a very particular way and expression that is incredible".
